RUTU APP
In a world where AI is often seen as a shortcut, I chose to use it as a force multiplier. As a designer, my goal is to solve real-world problems with speed and precision. RUTU is a mobile solution designed to facilitate the complex public transport network in Puebla, Mexico. By leveraging AI-driven development tools, I was able to move from napkin sketch to a functional high-fidelity prototype in record time, allowing me to focus more energy on what truly matters: user experience and safety strategy.

Problem :
The official website for Lyon's pools and ice rinks suffered from an outdated user interface and a lack of visual coherence, which made it difficult for citizens to access key information and make reservations. Without a unified design system, any new updates or pages created further fragmented the user experience.
The site needed a complete redesign to improve usability and a systematic framework to ensure all future additions remained consistent, functional, and on-brand.

Solution :
RUTU (a play on "Ruta and Tu that means you on spanish") is a user-centered navigation hub that simplifies transit into a few intuitive taps.
Key Features:
The "Easy-Path" Algorithm: An interface designed for clarity, showing users exactly which unit to take, where to board, and where to hop off.
Security Sync: Real-time location sharing and "Follow My Ride" features, allowing users to send their ETA and live position to trusted contacts.
Predictive ETA: Using historical data to give users a reliable window of arrival, reducing idle time at high-risk stops.
Favorites: Save: you favorites places and routes so you ont waste time searching event though it is really easy to find any route.
The AI Advantage:
I utilized an AI-powered builder to handle the foundational code and structural boilerplate. This allowed me to:
Iterate Faster: I could test UI layouts in a functional environment immediately.
Focus on UX: Instead of getting bogged down in syntax, I spent my time refining the User Journey Maps and Visual Hierarchy to ensure the app is accessible to all age groups.

Challenge :
Humanizing the Data
The biggest hurdle wasn't the technology, but the User-Centered Design. AI can build a list, but it can’t feel the anxiety of a user standing on a street corner at 9:00 PM.
I had to ensure the UI felt "human." This meant designing high-contrast elements for outdoor visibility, large touch targets for users on a moving bus, and a "report"button for the security features that is accessible within a single thumb-reach. I didn't just let the AI build; I steered the AI to meet specific accessibility standards and cultural nuances specific to Puebla.
Summary :
RUTU stands as a proof of concept for how modern design workflows can integrate emerging technologies to solve deep-rooted civic issues. By blending User-Centered Design (UCD) with AI-assisted development, I was able to transition from identifying a complex urban pain point to delivering a functional, high-fidelity solution.
Key Takeaways from the Process:
Strategic Efficiency: Leveraging AI for the structural "heavy lifting" allowed me to dedicate more time to high-level UX strategy and safety-critical features, ensuring a more polished final product.
Systemic Problem Solving: The project was driven by an analysis of "urban friction" in Puebla. It demonstrates my ability to look beyond aesthetics to address real-world accessibility and security gaps.
Technological Adaptability: Building RUTU required mastering a new suite of AI-powered tools on the fly. This reflects my commitment to staying tech-agile—using the best tools available to elevate the quality and reach of my work.
Ultimately, RUTU proves that AI doesn't replace the designer's intuition; it amplifies it, allowing us to tackle larger, more meaningful challenges with greater precision.
